You want to judge Spector by his looks, his life, other peoples' opinions of him - opinions which are not without bias.

If you look at the actual evidence it is crystal clear that he is not guilty, that Lana killed herself in a moment of depression and opportunity.

First, 55% of gun deaths are suicides.

Second, a shot in the mouth is as good as a suicide note. It is extraordinarily unlikely to be a homicide - if you feel not try to find some cases. The chances against this are in the hundreds of thousands.

Third, the lack of GSR or body fluids on Spector (apart from traces he would get from rushing into the room afterwards) is sufficient to exclude him from involvement. Again the chances against this are in the hundreds of thousands.

Fourth, all of the DNA on the gun and bullets was Clarkson's, none was Spector's. No one can wipe off theirs and leave another's in such a situation, ludicrous claims to the contrary notwithstanding.

Fifth, he has no history of even threatening strangers - he saves that for those of some acquaintance and those occurrences were from years before.

Sixth, Lana was in deep trouble, emotionally, medically and financially. She had expressed suicidal ideation before.

With all of the evidence pointing to her suicide and none pointing to his involvement there is no reason to see this as other than a chance for her to go out in a blaze of glory - a weapon (she probably couldn't afford to buy) to hand and the opportunity to die famously in a star's home and not in her modest house as another unsung Hollywood failure.A Voice of Sanityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11285284153694191831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6316617410436977874.post-46259804928228780522008-11-06T21:52:00.000-05:002008-11-06T21:52:00.000-05:00"FleaStiff said...Guilty as hell for sure but I'm ..."FleaStiff said...Guilty as hell for sure but I'm confident that the young lady's presence had nothing to do with a casting couch but was simply related to the instructions she had received from her bosses at her place of employment as to the manner in which Spector was to be treated."

I'm not sure. I don't think the instructions of the management of HoB would have included "go home with the guy". Important to remember that Spector was not a MAJOR celebrity - famous, yes, but not exactly "A List".

"Had she been more amenable to a casting couch it is likely she would be alive."

True, but that doesn't mean that Spector didn't think that he could dangle certain promises in front of her like a carrot, and expect a little hanky panky in return. After all, it wasn't the first time he had attempted that scenario. Whether she agreed to it in the beginning, and then changed her mind, we'll never know. My guess is that she was initially agreeable, and then either changed her mind, or became totally creeped out by Spector's weirdness, and couldn't go through with it. Then, Spector became angry, and decided to force her to some intimacy at gunpoint, and either intentionally shot her when she continued to refuse, or, more likely, given his stunned reaction, the gun went off accidentally.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6316617410436977874.post-59313855541017819812008-11-06T11:57:00.000-05:002008-11-06T11:57:00.000-05:00I'm just sorry he changed his hairdo. He is a music producer. There was a "casting couch" scenario to their date, I think. (That's not intended as a criticism of Ms. Clarkson.)

Spector has always been weird.
