The awful truth is that there are so many families affected by the FBI's mishandling of confidential informants. We have suffered the results of this betrayal for decades. And there are so many courageous people still fighting for the truth and for justice. There are important lessons to be learned here and crucial questions still to be asked and answered. I'll address some of that in my next post and reveal more of this cast of characters. If you think you're shocked now--just wait...Donna Weaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05989667987946274660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6316617410436977874.post-40647353969771972192008-04-22T18:33:00.000-04:002008-04-22T18:33:00.000-04:00And I thought Mario Puzo only invented this kind o...And I thought Mario Puzo only invented this kind of corruption.

God bless you, Mrs. Weaver. I wish people had been honest with you years ago, then maybe you would have this way behind you. I don't understand how people think that secrets and lies are protecting someone. At the same time, knowing all this about your husband years ago might have come at a much higher price. I am looking forward to the epilogue.

I grew up in Miami in the 60s and 70s [my family moved to Texas in 1980 when I was 15]. My dad was a contracor and did a lot of developing, particularly in the Dodge Island area. We lived in HML and Miramar. We moved because of the drugs and even though my father & uncle never got involved themselves, they were surrounded by people who were running drugs and always trying to lure others to help them. At the time I was angry with my parents for moving us but looking, it was probably for the best.

Good luck to you Donna!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6316617410436977874.post-77285881043292632842008-04-21T14:17:00.000-04:002008-04-21T14:17:00.000-04:00You are truly amazing, Donna. We were talking yesterday about this on Ink Blotter, when we discussed the Becca McEvoy case. With LE, there is still that shield of protection that can mistakenly protect those who shouldn't be protected.Kathryn Caseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04469242532804571817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6316617410436977874.post-77955535507229055852008-04-21T12:17:00.000-04:002008-04-21T12:17:00.000-04:00I have only read the first two parts of this story...I have only read the first two parts of this story but I wanted to stop say that I think you are a very courageous woman, Donna. This is indeed like something you'd expect to see at the theater. I'll post again after I finish reading this intriquing story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
