Pat Brown & Diane Fanning on E!'S 'Fatal Beauty: 15 Most Notorious Women'

Women in Crime Ink's own Pat Brown and Diane Fanning appear on E!'s Countdown: Fatal Beauty: 15 Most Notorious Women on Sunday, May 31 at 9 pm Eastern / 8 pm Central.

No, Pat and Diane didn't make E!'s list of notorious women—they appear on the show talking about some of those who did.

It's a countdown of ordinary women whose notorious crimes have made them pseudo-celebrities. E! investigates the remarkable and tumultuous lives of women who made headlines around the globe, some by committing unthinkable crimes & acts of violence and others whose decisions left us wondering why.

Over the course of two hours it reveals their shocking stories and explores the desperate circumstances that drove them to such extremes. Plus, it’ll look at the ways these sad and horrific events could have been prevented. The show provides a new perspective and keen insight into who these women really are with the help of medical experts, psychologists, law enforcement, and even the very women at the center of these high-profile cases.

Among the fifteen notorious women included in the countdown are these familiar names: Casey Anthony (above right), Karla Homolka, Aileen Wournos, Susan Smith, Carolyn Warmus, Mary Winkler and Karla Faye Tucker left)

I didn't see Diane Downs' name there. She was the original "Susan Smith" except Smith eventually acknowledged her guilt. Diane never did. She is sociopath extraordinaire.

You are right about Diane Downs.
There are enough rotten women out there that a show featuring fifteen of them can't get all of them.

Where in the heck was PAM SMART!? One of the most infamous/sex charged crimes in U.S. HISTORY! I just watched the program waiting for her to pop up and she never did! WOW! The case made national headlines and major motion pictures followed! There even was a spoof on FAMILY GUY and that is saying somethin! How could PAM not make the list? From a shocked New Hampshire resident!

Maybe they need to do a show called "15 More Notorious Women?"

Yes, Diane, maybe they should do a show about the top 100 "most notorious women".God knows there are enough names to go around.

Diane, you are so funny! I spent the better part of yesterday reading the story about Karla Homolka and her....monster. I am speechless as I am shocked. I guess I always thought there was crime, the worst being losing your temper over some wrong and then going too far and murdering someone. As my mother controlled my reading and news-watching when I was child, I think I was pretty sheltered. I continued the tradition of not watching the news, etc., until last summer when the news about the animal from Florida who didn't report her 2-year-old missing for a month was released (excuse me, I know she hasn't been found guilty). I knew I had been negligent. It is awful to hear these stories, but a responsibility to "be on the watch" is for every citizen, if we are to prevent these twisted types from striking again and hopefully to catch them. I want everyone to read every one of your all's posts! I just don't know what to say. I had no idea how awful some of them were. More comments possibly when I finish your list of the nasty.....oh, I need a drink.....

LadyShelia, How was your drink? Feel better now? LOL

I am surprised that Karla Homolka killing her sister was not mentioned...talk about a monster and now she is out of jail living the free life...how despicable!

I was initially surprised when I saw how gentle they were with Mary Winkler. They did not raise a single doubt about her story of her married life. And showed video of the prop shoe as if it were the real shoe.
But that was nothing compared to my surprise that they did not include Karla Homolka's sister. That death said more about Karla's character than any of the others.

I thought most of the stories were gentle retellings of reality. I know my very direct, strong statements about the killers were not chosen; rather, what I said tended to be more innocuous. I think this as a curiousity style show rather than a hardhitting examination of female killers.

I finally saw the show last night. You were great, Diane!

Not only is Karla free, She also has a child of her own now. which is super crazy. I was shocked too that they didn't mention the sister. Unreal.
Also I missed who #1 was (I fell asleep) can someone tell me please.

Number One was America's Sweetheart--Casey Anthony!

(Sarcasm isn't a sin, is it?--LOL)

This was the most pathetic list of 15. Why dont they show real woman criminals. Every other story was about a girl who killed her baby. what about griselda blanco?!?! The most violent and blood thirsty drug lord of all time who has 250 murders to her credit!! What about bonnie! What about ma barker! women who organize and orchestrate things.
